Hi all
Just a quick update on Mt Barker. We have got a link up with a pair of xr9 cards (thanks Don) replacing the sr9’s and giving us a better link and less drop outs. Don has a 2nd link up to another point on Mt barker using 2 900 MHz Ubiquity Rockets. That link is about 90 deg off line to me and just over the other side of a hill and I can get a link back to that with the xr9 as well.
We are about to try to set up a new node in Nairne near the primary School. By the members map I have line of sight, and we plan to use the sr9 cards on the back bone and then add an access point. So far I have added a 2nd rb433 my end with the sr9 and I will go up and add the antenna if it ever stops raining. For the other end one of my old RB 112 boards will have to do for now. The link and access point should have the hardware in place in the next 3 or 4 weeks
I am still out of my depth setting up this network but I think we are all learning heaps by trying to get it up and running.
Darren
