Why HELLOOOO There,
Its been a long time between drinks, good to see things are well and truely up and going.
Almost tempted to get the mast back up higher and do a stumble around the place !
Is there something close to me (Rosewater) that i should attempt to hit that *may* help the network ?

Long time no see! We're in the process of increasing our AP density in the West, but thats not to say you don't have a shot at connecting in to the current network - I mean you did used to connect to Ulebury if I recall correctly :p I'm not terribly familiar with the topography around that area, but just from a quick glance at http://www.air-stream.org.au/access_points the closest options appear to be Mawson Lakes, Kilkenny, Grange/Seaton/Fullham. Definatly at least worth a stumble though.
Your location would be a real asset for the 'Go West' movement, so I'm keen to see what we can get happening.

Yes it has been a while inbetween drinks
My backs as screwed as ever so im going to take it easy and probably pull down the mast today to get access to the wifi devices on it and take a look at whats not working.
It seems the dish to ryan@ uleybury was still going but the omni and dish to what was ottoway i cant see.
I'll atleast get the omni going and get that up so i can use that to do a quick site survey and so others can see if they can see it.
Getting there
Dropped the mast down so i could get to the weatherproof boxes and it all seems to be *somewhat* good news at this point.
got all the wifi gear out of boxes ... all seem to work, one that was to ottoway needed a hardware reset (power cycle wasnt good enough), the one to uleybury was ok (just needed a 1amp psu not 500mw that i was trying which explains why it seemed a bit random when i was playing with psu's in the roof, damn senao) and the omni one the power had just ever so slightly come out of the minitar in the box.
Might look at getting the senao back attached to the omni after tea.

Good to hear the gear is all alive and well, we don't have too many Minitars on the network any more (we've moved on to bigger and better things for the majority of the core network for both trasmit power, sensitivity, and frequency reasons - we've got most backbones on 5ghz now due to noise/interferrence etc) but all AP's are still running 11b so theres no reason why you can't use an old MNWAPB for a client connection providing you have good signal/snr!
