Hi, just have a few questions...
I've been comming back to this site to check what is happening for a while now. Not seeing much action in my area (moana), I'm very seriously thinking about setting up an AP here. I have good LOS in the southern direction, but the problem is toward the north (Adelaide). I have very limmited LOS in the nothern direction (spare errecting a 6m pole) with my only real view in a north east direction (I'll post an image tomorrow).
Anyway, I'm very keen to setup an AP for some of the sothern ppl (hopefully we can get some more intrested), and need a little help. I have a good unterstanding of computers, networking and unix OS's, allthough haven had any experience with WIFI.
After looking over the site I have been seeing that nearly all the AP's use 'b' gear, is this the way to go? Also, I've been looking at the WRAP's, running two miniPCI a/b/g cards seems like a good idea, is there any problems with setting up one as an AP and the other as a client on the same board?
Thanks for reading, looking forward to becoming part of the community.
